Title: Vice President of Sales

Summary:

The V.P. of Commercial Sales is focused on and responsible for securing new business opportunities for the company by prospecting, networking, being involved in community activities, building relationships, and seeking referrals, as well as following up on company provided leads or appointments.  The Commercial Sales Executive is also responsible for strengthening and broadening business relationships with existing accounts to which they are assigned, representing the company to the public in a positive manner, and conducting the business of the company with impeccable integrity.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the Chipman Seven Core Values.

  • Responsible for closing new business opportunities.

  • Self-generate qualified office moving leads and develop a comprehensive selling strategy.

  • Responsible for building a strong rapport with key decision makers in local markets.

  • Accountable for generating and maintaining a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities and contacts.

  • Provide reliable sales forecasts and actively participate in sales conferences and meetings.

  • All customer proposals are generated and completed through PandaDoc’s.

  • All prospect and client activity is documented in HubSpot and kept current.  Every client Deal is entered into HubSpot.

  • Adherence to company credit policy.

  • Responsible for meeting annual company sales goals.

  • Work closely with the operations, and customer service teams to ensure the smooth execution of commercial moves.

  • Ensure that the sales process is aligned with the company’s operational capabilities and that expectations are clearly communicated to clients.

  • Serve as the escalation point for any client issues or disputes, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining positive client relationships.

  • Conduct business reviews with ongoing clients to assess service performance, identify areas for improvement, and explore upsell or cross-sell opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and one to two years related sales experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the public. 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Knowledge of online applications, word processing and presentation software and ability to use proposal generation software.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have a valid Class C driver’s license.

Supervisory responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
