First and foremost, all of us here at Chipman Relocation & Logistics hope this reaches our fans, our customers and our Chipman family well in 2018.
2017 ended on a high note-- on December 29th, Chipman participated in helping donate 260 pounds of food to Shelter, Inc.'s emergency food pantry in Martinez, CA which helps support low-income and homeless citizens of Contra Costa County by providing community support and services for those in need. The food will go towards feeding local residents.
The donation of pork came directly from the Butte County Fair auction in Gridley, CA where our team purchased a hog raised by the Butte County 4-H Program, valued over $2,000. The meat was processed and held at Chico Locker & Sausage Co, Inc. in nearby Chico before being donated by our Sacramento & Fairfield General Manager, Ed Melton.
In addition, our Sacramento and Fairfield teams actively participate in local Move for Hunger efforts which utilize relocation companies like ours to collect and transport non-perishable food items to food banks across North America. Chipman is proud to serve our local community and is grateful for the generosity of our teams as they give back.
